Toyland Fantasy
On Saturday, December 7, 2024, the City of Albany will put on its 34th Annual Celebration of Lights Christmas Parade. This year's theme is Toyland Fantasy.
The Christmas Program:
Event Schedule:
4:00 PM: Vendors will line our Christmas Village on N. Jackson Street from Pine Avenue to Broad Avenue, filling the streets with Christmas cheer and treats until 8 p.m.
4:45 PM: The Celebration of Lights Pre-Show will provide entertainment and music in front of the Government Center at 222 Pine Avenue.
5:45 PM: The Lighting of the Christmas Tree will be at the Government Center Plaza at 222 Pine Avenue, where we will recognize an individual(s) in the community and light our Christmas tree before starting the parade.
6:00 PM: The first parade participants will begin marching their way from Wesco at 724 Pine Avenue and lead the parade down to the Dougherty County School System building at 200 Pine Avenue.

The Celebration of Lights would not be possible without vendors, participants, and volunteers who make it a success each and every year.

Vendors: Any vendors wishing to participate in the Christmas Village should note that there are limited spots, and space will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Vendors can apply online at https://forms.albanyga.gov/Forms/christmasvendor
Vendor Fee:
- Food vendor/ truck: $75
- Craft vendor: $40

Participants: Anyone wanting to march in the parade can register online at https://forms.albanyga.gov/Forms/christmasparade
Entry Fee:

- School Clubs/Organizations: $35, each school club or organization will pay a separate entry fee.
- Walking Units: $50
- Churches and Small Businesses: $100
- Motorcycles, Horses, etc.: $10 each
- Large Businesses: $250

Participant Release Form:
Volunteers: We need volunteers to help with organizing parade participants as they come in, setting up before the parade, wearing costumes and greeting kids during the parade, etc. All those interested can contact us at (229) 483-7665.
