Local Relief Program Announced for Albany Small Businesses
Albany, GA – During the May 26, 2020, City Commission meeting, Commissioners voted to approve Albany’s Small Business Relief Program (SBRP). In response to the effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic on small businesses, the City of Albany will launch a Small Business Relief Program (SBRP) that will provide both technical and financial assistance to eligible small businesses located within the city of Albany.
The SBRP includes a 3-prong strategic approach that involves technical assistance for those interested in participating in the CARES ACT programming; local grant program funded by CDBG and City matching funds; and utility assistance.
The City of Albany will host virtual educational awareness webinars that will provide more details about the SBRP and how small businesses can apply. The dates for the virtual webinars will be announced soon. Live virtual webinars will be available on the City of Albany’s Facebook page.
